A nice hardwood Bo, also handy for walking as well as self-defense. Kind of heavy for light users; I recommend only strong adults use this one. It says it is "Red Oak" from China. There is little or no flexion in the staff. This one is black in color.

I have ordered this Bo Staff because I practice Kobudo at the dojo where I attend Goju Ryu classes. This Bo Staff is well made, has a good weight to it, and the black paint on the wood feels quality. Not sure how it will wear over time, but right now it is excellent. It may be a bit heavier than a bamboo staff would be, but it is well suited for practicing katas.

I am very pleased with this bo staff. It is exactly what I expected- a nice heavy, hard wood staff. The finish on the staff is a little darker reddish brown and seems to be pretty durable. It is a great heavy staff for practicing and developing power due to its weight.

I am retired and play golf 4 to 5 times per week. I use this bo for my stretches every morning as well as to strengthen my wrists and forearms. I use the bo spinning skills to loosen and strengthen my wrists and forearms. I also use the 6 ft staff to do various upper body and core stretches. I purchased rubber feet from Amazon to cover the tips of the bo. The rubber tips prevent the bo from skidding across floor when stretching as well makes it a good walking staff.

Couldn’t be happier with my staff. Great quality, and the weight is perfectly distributed. A HUGE upgrade to the broomstick I was forced to use for my Kata classes. The case I ordered for it is also very well made. Highly recommended and I will order more supplies without hesitation.

On time delivery. Strong simple packaging. The Bo itself is a bit warped but I think that may be from upright storage. I don’t think it affects my practice but would love a response from the company if it does as this is my first Bo and have no reference to quality. Great weight for building strength and beautiful looking finish. Some natural grain imperfections show through the finish but I think it looks better that way.

This is the first time I bought an authentic karate weapon. It is heavier that I imagined and made out if red oak. I soon got a feel for the even weight distribution and extreme ease of use. I’m looking forward to using it in a bigger space.

It's a beautiful, solid, perfectly balanced piece of hardwood, with a nice smooth finish. Mine came in slightly heavier than the 2lbs in the specs, but this isn't a problem- my wrists will get used to it, but someone smaller may want a lighter bo. Also: very pleased with customer service- will definitely order from you all again.
