The material can easily be cut to fit better and is soft enough to mold against the front of her teeth and gums. I've purchased a couple mouth guards, and those only allowed her to mold her bite but didn't allow her to push the front of the mouth piece back against her teeth, which left a gap. After a couple cuts, she says it's the most comfortable mouth guard she's tried.
